“Fall on Me” is a pop-R&B song I made with my brother, Sam Fetter. Sam began writing it while living in Halifax, inspired by a cancer diagnosis and the helplessness that comes with watching someone close to you go through something like that.

When he came down at the end of July, we finished the song together. I took my verse into a darker place, touching on drugs, self-destruction and not knowing—or caring—what we’re putting our bodies through.

I think most of us know what it’s like to wish we could carry the weight for someone we love. If that feeling is familiar to you, this song might be for you.
